About ME (Buttercup!)

Well, hi!  Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Buttercup and I own the White Mountain Quilt Studio, even though, Nora Mohr thinks she owns it. After all, I live here all the time; she goes home after I close.
I don't remember much about my life before I took over this place. All I know is that it was raining and I was cold and hungry and my four kittens were starving because I couldn't feed them. Also, my leg hurt a lot and I couldn't walk on it. This nice lady named Sandy took me and my kittens into her house and fed us until we all were healthy again. Then these other nice people took me away to another place where they got Doctor Cook to treat my leg and try to save it. I tried to walk on it, but it just wouldn't work and my best friend Paul had to take me back to Doctor Cook to have it removed. Paul felt awful bad about having to do that, but I told him it would be OK and that I would be better off. After the surgery, Paul stayed overnight with me at the store until I felt better.

Now, you may wonder what I do all day and night. Well, I supervise the selection of new fabrics and lots of other staff that I have here in my store. When I have time, I greet each customer that comes to my shop. I also help Paul with servicing all the wonderful BERNINA sewing machines and the various others that folks bring to us. Yes, that's right, I perform a cat scan on every one! Every day, after closing, I try out all the fabrics and machines. One time, I did an inspection on a full ball of yam. It took all night, but it sure was a lotta fun.

If you stay tuned to this blog, I will send you the scoop about what's good and new at the shop and all the smokin' deals I have to offer.

[Note:  Buttercup didn't have an email address yet, so she had to have help posting this page]

A cat is always interested in what you have to say, but not always interested in letting you know that. This is a cat's natural born right, of course.
